Creating a World Without Type 1 Diabetes

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is a primary beneficiary of Vaughn’s Valley Foundation™ because their mission is to raise awareness and fund life-changing breakthroughs in research to cure, prevent, and treat type 1 diabetes.

JDRF is the leading organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. JDRF’s mission is to accelerate life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat T1D and its complications.

T1D is an autoimmune disease that strikes both children and adults suddenly. In T1D, the pancreas stops producing insulin—a hormone the body needs to get energy from food. It has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. There is nothing a person can do to prevent it and at present, there is no cure.

JDRF works every day to change the reality of this disease for millions of people by funding research, advocating for government support of research and new therapies, ensuring new therapies come to market and connecting and engaging the T1D community.

Every dollar put toward research comes from donations. When people show their support with time, talent, voice and, money it enables JDRF to advance more research.

Doing the greatest good for the largest number of people, in the shortest period of time.

Center for Fathers and Families (CFF)

Vaughn’s Valley Foundation™ is inspired by the strong history that Center For Fathers and Families has at responding to the needs of fathers and their families by offering programs and services that lead to family growth, enrichment, and empowerment. Over the course of its’ history, CFF has impacted thousands of children, families, and adults in Sacramento County through one of our three main initiatives:

  • Starting young people on a positive path
  • Helping parents achieve and maintain success
  • Empowering families to thrive together

ReIMAGINE Mack Road (RMRF)

The initiatives of the forward-thinking team at ReImagine is who Vaughn’s Valley Foundation™ looks to for motivation. Their mission to create a healthier more vibrant community is what guides us to help organizations that assist in reshaping lives.

The RMRF’s mission is to:

ReIMAGINE a healthier more vibrant place to live, shop and thrive.

ReSHAPE the quality of life for those who are in need.

ReVITALIZE an under-served and under-resourced part of Sacramento.

ReINVENT the way our community thinks about food, job creation and a better future for our youth and young adults.

Mentoring Through Baseball

Directly mentoring and inspiring the youth in our community by using baseball, the sport that gave Greg Vaughn the foundation for his life. Greg Vaughn donated the building of the baseball field at Bradshaw Christian School in Elk Grove, CA and continues his coaching there.

This field and others around the US play host to Greg’s baseball camps and training programs. Teaching not only the fundamentals of the game but of growing up and succeeding in life.
